Be the Reason a Family Finds Stability
Community Care, When It Matters Most
Angela was on the brink of losing her home until a Family Advocate helped uncover the truth behind her eviction notice and connect her to work she loved. That steady support changed everything. Your donation makes this kind of advocacy and care possible for the next family in crisis.
Last year, your generosity made a difference for 18,998 people across Santa Barbara County. Among them:
777
Students got counseling
Students from kindergarten through 12th grade received professional mental health support right at school, building confidence and resilience to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings put lifesaving skills in the hands of an additional 840 teens and adults already in students’ daily lives, from classmates to coaches.
2,916
Families found support
Case management, parenting education, help with benefits paperwork, food and clothing—families received hands-on support to build stability. 74% of parent education graduates reduced their risk for child abuse and neglect, while 3,301 more received vital referrals.
352
Seniors felt heard
Older adults received support to age on their own terms, whether that meant staying in the homes they love, finding protection from abuse and fraud, or building meaningful connections to combat isolation. Our mental health programs supported an additional 157 seniors and caregivers, and our Long Term Care Ombudsman program made 2,278 visits to people living in care facilities.
